The following timetable is a guide to assist students who plan to apply for academic Master’s degree and PhD programs. Because of the range of programs and requirements across the academic spectrum, the information below is a general framework. The process typically begins in the first semester of junior year or two years prior to application. Students should plan on submitting application materials by the end of first semester senior year.
The GRE General Test is administered throughout the year at computer-based test centers in the U.S., Canada, and many other countries. Appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. A paper-based option is still available. For GRE details and registration information, please visit the Educational Testing Service (ETS) website.
