Parents are often keen to know how they might help UCS to do an even better job. There are four principal ways in which you might become involved in our activities. If you are in a position to advise us of internship or employment opportunities appropriate for our students, we will be delighted to receive this information and inform potentially interested parties. Please contact UCS by phone or complete the job / internship posting form to provide detailed information about the opportunity.
Yale operates its own unique internship programs in approximately thirty locations around the world. Parents with connections in these internship program locations, or who are domiciled there, have partnered with us to provide additional internship opportunities for our students. In most cases, Yale coordinates housing and arranges group activities focusing on educational and social programming. Parents have also contributed to and participated in these activities.
Each year, UCS hosts more than 200 panels, workshops, networking events and other structured activities. While the majority of these take place in New Haven, many of them are also offered in other locations, including New York, Boston, and Washington, DC.
In addition to the participation of many of our alumni, we have welcomed the engagement of parents as well. In addition to parents advising us of appropriate employment and educational opportunities, we have also been fortunate to have received gifts from individuals in the past designed either to help with the general work of UCS or to make possible a new initiative.
