Career Advising

UCS offers career advising appointments, general / behavioral practice interviews as well as technical and case practice interviews.

Please note that due to the demands on the office, the availability of alumni career counseling appointments is limited during the months of September, January and February. This excludes appointments for graduate and professional school advising. If you are in need of a career counseling appointment during these specific times, please email a summary of your situation to undergraduate.careerservices@yale.edu.

 

Schedule an Appointment or General / Behavioral Practice Interview

Yale College Undergraduate Advisors

Please do not schedule multiple appointments within a 2-week period. Due to the high demand, students are limited to two (2) practice interviews per academic year. Click on the advisor's name below to request a 30-minute appointment or general / behavioral mock interview. College affiliations are provided to assist students scheduling an initial meeting with an advisor.

Experienced Alumni (graduated 5 or more years ago)

Experienced alumni are invited to request a 30-minute appointment Elayne Mazzarella. If you would like to request an extended appointment, please email undergraduatecareerservices@yale.edu.

Schedule a Technical or Consulting Practice Interview

Practice interviews are typically 45 minutes. Please email your request using the relevant link below several business days in advance, as last minute requests may not be able to be accommodated. Please include 2-3 days, and time slots, for when you are available for a practice interview.

 

Appointment Cancellation Policy

We understand that unexpected academic obligations, work commitments, and illnesses can affect your schedule. However, please advise UCS of any change as early as possible. This will allow us to offer your time slot to another student.

Please note the following cancellation procedures and policies:

If you need to cancel an appointment, please do so on-line by 5:00 pm the business day prior to your appointment. 

  • No show policy: If you do not cancel the appointment the day before and don’t show up, it will be recorded as a "No Show."
  • Consecutive no show policy: After three consecutive "No Shows," you will be required to wait at least one month before you will be allowed to schedule another appointment.
  • Late arrival policy: If you arrive later than 10 minutes for your appointment, you will be asked to reschedule.
